JAMCUSA recommends GOOP as a coat degreaser
I use it regularily on my show cats prior to the shampoo.
Just a small amount rubbed into the greasy areas on a dry coat works a treat.
Leave it in for 5 to 10 minutes and then simply rinse out.
It's kind and gentle but effective.
Works well on clothing and soft furnishings too.

Original Goop
can eliminate stains from
Clothing, Carpets, Uniforms, Bedding and any washable material.
Apply and rub in. Leave to soak for half an hour then wash as normal.
Check the stain has gone before drying and if not re-apply and soak overnight. 
Goop can remove Blood, Grass Stains, Ink, Oil, Chewing gum, Baby Formula & Lipstick.
Also Grease, Tar, Paint, Glue and even fish scent from your hands.
Use without water for the best results.
Contains Lanolin and Glycerin to leave your hands soft and conditioned.

Original Goop & Groomers Goop
can remove Stud Tail Grease, Yellowing on White and all manner of grime your animal gets itself into.
It can be used on Horses and is a great conditioner for their hooves.
You can also clean the Tack with it.Rub a generous amount into your pets DRY coat. Massage into the coat from head to toe and leave for 5 minutes so the product can penetrate.
DO NOT PUT IT ON THEIR FACES UNLESS THEY ARE WHITE AND THERE IS YELLOW STAINING.
USE THE SAME COMMON SENSE CARE AROUND THE EYES AS YOU WOULD WITH ANY OTHER PREPARATION.
Rinse the Goop away with warm water and a little of your preferred shampoo. Rinse repeatedly constantly massaging until the water runs clean and all the Goop is removed.
Then shampoo as per normal bath/show bath.
