I can't thank Vicki of Coonhaven Maine Coons in Australia enough for letting "Cookie" come all this way.
I first met Vicki when I visited Australia with my good friend Mary in March 2007.
I had gone "down under" to meet Truda the Australian Mist Breed Founder and after a week or so in Perth, Mary and I flew to Melbourne. We stayed in Yarra Glen with Kyra of Rumpleteezer Maine Coons, met Truda, her Mists and Maine Coons and had a wonderful lunch. The following day Kyra took us to Vicki's to bath her cats for a show that weekend.  That's when I spotted Cookie or Midori as she was then known.
I was totally smitten by this chunky Brown Mackerel Tabby and White kitten playing happily in the kitten pen with her littermates. Vicki said Midori was still available and after a while I nervously asked her if she'd consider allowing her to come and live in the UK.

At first Vicki didn't seem to sure, I think she was a little taken aback and we went back to Kyra's at the end of the day without Vicki having made a firm decision.
I saw some older cats and kittens from the same combination so I had an idea how Cookie would develop.
Eventually after what seemed like a lifetime Vicki agreed to let me have her.
I then set about thinking of a name for her. Vicki wasn't too impressed with my first suggestion of "Crikey Sheila" so  "Anzac Cookie" was chosen.
(I do like those biscuits!!!)
So here she is

Vicki...Thank You So Much for allowing her to come and live with me!!

At The Melrose Cat Club Show in Australia in October Cookie was awarded Best Opposite Sex in show.
Not bad for her first Adult show.
They had a Specialist Maine Coon ring and had over 50 entries.

Cookie is a Champion in her native Australia under their Governing Council of the Cat Fancy
